Credit River Alliance Annual General Meeting, Speaker, and Silent Auction
6:30 – 8:30 Wednesday November 23, 2016
Room 3, Cassie Campbell Community Centre
Corner of Sandalwood Parkway and Chinquacousy, Brampton

Please join us for the Annual General Meeting of the Credit River Alliance on the evening of November 23, 2016. The meeting will address emerging priorities, select a Steering Committee for the coming year, hold a Silent Auction, and feature comments from Andrew Kett, Senior Manager, Outreach and Education at Credit River Conservation.

Paul Newall, CRA Chair, hopes that all existing members, as well as prospective members, will attend. “We will share important updates on the past year. And we have some crucial issues facing us in the year ahead, we need to select a new steering committee to build on our past accomplishments.”

In addition to having a guest speaker who will update us on changes to CVC’s outreach and education efforts, Paul notes that the launch of the silent auction should help some of our members with Christmas shopping while defraying annual costs for the website and other expenses. Anyone with a donation should contact Andrew at the e-mail address above, and everyone should be ready to bid on some fun and economical items and/or to drop a small donation into the Credit Jar.

A Renewed Vision for the Credit - June 2016
Following extensive discussion with the members and deliberation at the Steering Committee, the Credit River Alliance has released a set of priorities for the upcoming three and a half years, through 2019.

The timing is important. Provincially, Ontario is pursuing extensive changes to our land use planning and natural heritage protection regimes, while our watershed is experiencing continued pressures from increased settlement, development, climate change, and invasive species.

February Networking Café
Members and prospective members gathered to share concerns and aspirations for the Credit in a relaxed atmosphere at the Riverwood Conservancy. Observations were helpful to the Steering Committee in establishing the Vision statement issued in June.
